Revenue Sources

Agora generates revenue from:

  • Trading fees on swaps executed through Agora
  • Bridge fees on HYPE bridged to Elysium
  • Limit order fees on filled orders
  • The $AGORA trading tax (80% of the 1% tax on every buy and sell)

Current rates are listed in Fees.

Revenue Allocation

All revenue is allocated as follows:

Buyback and burnBuys $AGORA on the open market and sends it to the burn address.30%
TreasuryInfrastructure, audits, liquidity and runway.30%
Team and developmentBuilding and maintaining Agora.20%
GrowthMarketing, partnerships and community programs.15%
Holder rewardsPaid in HYPE to $AGORA holders, pro rata.5%
Allocation of Agora's revenue: platform fees and the $AGORA trading tax.

Together these allocations account for 100% of revenue.

Buyback and Burn

The buyback and burn allocation is used to purchase $AGORA through the liquidity pool and send it to the burn address, where it can no longer be transferred. Each buyback adds buy-side demand, and each burn permanently reduces the circulating supply. Every burn is an on-chain transaction to the burn address and can be verified by anyone.

Holder Rewards

The holder rewards allocation is distributed in HYPE to wallets holding $AGORA, in proportion to their balance at the time of each distribution. Liquidity pools, the burn address and contracts are excluded. Distributions are made periodically and announced on X .

Holder Benefits

Wallets holding at least 1,500,000 $AGORA trade on Agora without an Agora fee (currently 0.5% per trade). The threshold, set at approximately $200 worth, is stored as a token amount in Agora’s router contract, checked on-chain for every trade, and adjusted as the price changes. When it applies, the swap panel shows the Agora fee as Free.
